Who We Are

What is Bella Luce?

Bella Luce is a fine art portrait studio on the north side of Colorado Springs. For eight years, we've created heirloom portraits for families across Alaska and Colorado.

What makes a Bella Luce portrait different?

We don't make floppy prints that end up in a drawer. We create legacy portraits: finished wall art meant to hang above your fireplace and be handed down to your children and grandchildren. Every piece is hand-retouched and finished by an artist, so it looks as beautiful in fifty years as it does the day it arrives.

Who will be photographing us?

Our photographer is the heart of the experience. They're a true artist behind the camera, and they have a gift for putting people at ease, even people who swear they hate having their picture taken. They'll guide every pose and every detail, so you can relax and be yourselves. Our photographer's talent is what turns a session into a portrait your family will treasure for generations. Sessions are curated and last between 25-35 minutes.

The Portrait Experience

Why did I get a call from Bella Luce?

You submitted an application for a portrait, and yours stood out. We select a limited number of families each month to work with personally, and we chose you.

What does the experience include?

You'll come into our studio, where our photographer will create your portraits. We then gift you a $1,000 portrait credit to put toward any of the artwork you fall in love with. So your session is free, the ordering appointment is free and the portrait credit is free.

What does the $1,000 credit cover?

Your $1,000 credit goes toward any piece in our collection above our 14". Many families use it as the opportunity they've been waiting for to finally create a legacy portrait for their home.

Who can be in the portrait?

Couples and Families — a partner, your children, your whole family, and even your pets. We'll ask who you'd like to include when we book, so we can plan the session around your group.

How do I see and choose my artwork?

After your session, you'll have a private one-hour ordering appointment, held online via Google Meet a few days later. This is where you'll see your images and make all of your artwork decisions, so everyone who helps make decisions — for example, both spouses — needs to attend.

Booking Your Session

How do I book?

There are two easy ways to book:

If you'd like to talk it over with your partner first, no problem — just let us know and we'll text you the booking link so you can reserve your date whenever you're ready.

Is there a fee to book?

There is a reservation fee that holds your spot on our calendar. It's normally $250, but because you were selected, we've reduced it for you as a one-time courtesy to $100. It isn't an extra cost — it's credited 100% toward your artwork, so everything you invest goes straight toward your portraits.

After You Book

What will I receive once I'm booked?

As soon as your booking goes through, you'll receive:

• A confirmation email with your session date, time, location and our rescheduling policy.

• A text with the essentials — a quick summary of your session details, plus directions and where to park.

• A text with our dress guide — a few do's and don'ts on what to wear. Think of it as guidelines, not a strict code.

Rescheduling

What if I need to reschedule?

We ask for at least 7 days' notice before your session date. With 7 days' notice, your reservation fee is refundable.

What if something comes up with less than 7 days' notice?

The reservation fee isn't refundable inside that window, but nothing is lost — it holds your credit for a future session. Just reach out whenever you're ready to get back on the calendar.

Finding the Studio

Where is the studio?

We're on the north side of Colorado Springs, and we welcome clients from all over Colorado, from Fort Collins to Pueblo. Your exact address comes in your confirmation email and text.

Any tips for finding it?

Our studio is tucked inside a very nondescript brick building — there's an audiologist on the top floor. Just come into the building and head downstairs to find us. Your welcome text also tells you where to park.
